Call me at 1-781-519-9588 or email me at jim@majuvenilelawyer.com to schedule a free and confidential consultation about your juvenile law or education law matter.  I am a Massachusetts Juvenile Law Attorney with over 12 years of experience successfully defending hundreds of children and teens charged with juvenile crimes in Massachusetts Juvenile Courts, representing children and parents in school discipline and special education law matters, and representing children and adults in Massachusetts Juvenile Court DSS/DCF custody proceedings in the Juvenile Court.

After graduating cum laude from S
uffolk University Law School in 1997, I served as a judicial law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Juvenile Court.  During my Juvenile Court judicial clerkship, I assisted Massachusetts Juvenile Court judges throughout the state with legal research and drafting of judicial decisions.  After handling criminal defense, juvenile defense, and family law cases as an associate attorney at a criminal defense firm for the next two years, I opened my juvenile law defense practice in 2000.

I have defended children and teens charged with various Massachusetts juvenile crimes, ranging from misdemeanors such as trespassing and shoplifting to major felonies such as armed assault with intent to murder and forcible rape.  In addition to my juvenile defense trial work, I have handled several juvenile appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court.  I have served as a supervisor of juvenile defense attorneys for the Norfolk County bar advocate program (private attorneys who accept court appointed cases) from 2007 to 2008 and I am currently a supervising juvenile defense attorney in the Boston Juvenile Courts with the Suffolk County bar advocate program, Suffolk Lawyers for Justice.  I have presented at several juvenile and criminal continuing legal education classes and panels.  Some of my  juvenile cases have been reported in major news publications.
